(Stern)

An old tree stands tall despite the freezing wind, demonstrating the perseverance of life. In Nature, all is constantly changing as seasons change as well. Everything on Earth lives and co-exists harmoniously for generation after generation. With the metaphor within the piece to shed light on the philosophy of life, it is intended to raise the respect and care from humanity toward life.

(Breathing)

The breathing rhythm of Nature is presented with the flow of watercolor. It is the light and the shade, the air, the time, and the breath of life as well as the mind of the artist that flows. In the presence of the Mother Nature, all I feel is the insignificance of myself. Hence, I’d like to manifest the prosperity of life with my brushes, and humbly honor the things between the heavens and earth.

(Clarity)

A clear surface of water reflects the true heart. The sum of senses other than the color, shape, light and darkness via vision becomes part of the painting through creation, and is further dissolved into natural phenomena, so that the emotions, thoughts, ideas and landscape shall become one, the incarnation of “a sensual world through the eyes of the heart”.

(Brisk)

In recent years, I try via the form of circle to convey the aesthetic as well as the spirit of the East, and to capture the well-rounded harmony of Nature. Under the warm sunshine in the winter, there comes a gentle, brisk breeze by the lake. With light, strong, fast, and slow strokes, I construct the beauty of the trees’ branches, roaming free to explore the way of inaction as the law of Nature.
